Bad Dürkheim’s traditional wine and amusement festival takes place over nine days (7th – 11th and 14th – 17th September 2018). This popular event, with its 300-year history, is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors who will be able to enjoy the 36 wine stalls and 300 different varieties of wine. In fact, the choice of wines is as big as the size of the glasses (wine is served by the half litre in special glasses).
At the festival, you’ll find a large selection of local wine and food being sold from traditional barrow market stalls as well as a funfair to keep the whole family entertained. New rides are added every year
The barrow stalls derive from a time when winemakers would bring their wine to the market on foot and then sell the wine directly from their barrows. Today, these barrow stalls are a little more luxurious and offer all-weather shelter for everyone to enjoy the delicious food and wine on offer.
The festival highlight is the two firework displays that are held on 11thand 17thSeptember at 9pm.

Monday 17th September
