The Tal to Tal cycling event takes place in the stunning Middle Rhine Valley close to Lorelei Rock. The route runs along both the left and right bank of the River Rhine.
A large entertainment programme including music, food & drink as well as children’s entertainment is organised, making it an attractive event for the whole family.
Roads are closed between 10am and 6pm enabling cyclists to use the roads safely and enjoy the impressive scenery of the Middle Rhine Valley – well-known for its vineyards and castles dotted along the River Rhine.
The entertainment programme on the right bank of the Rhine takes place in the following villages:

The entertainment programme on the left bank of the Rhine takes place in the following villages:

You’ll find a map of the routes here: http://www.taltotal.de/rheinlaufkarte/
KD cruise boats offer special tickets to combine the cycling event with a boat tour. Check out their website here: https://www.k-d.com/en/cruises/
There is also a special train service available so you can cycle one way and take your bike back on the train the return trip. You should find a pdf file available to download on the Tal Total website http://www.taltotal.de/sonderfahrten-oepnv/ under ‘ÖPNV Fahrplan Sonderzüge’.
I’ve been to a lovely wine bar & restaurant in Bingen a couple of times and I can highly recommend it. Weinzeit is a beautiful, modern wine bar offering a good variety of local wines, antipasti sharing platters and other delicious meals right by the River Rhine. As the Tal to Tal event is always very popular, I’d recommend making a reservation at this delightful wine bar & restaurant in advance.
